ICC includes 4 Pak players in World T20 XI; Indians miss out

London, Jun 22: The ICC today named four players from the triumphant Pakistan side along with a mix of cricketers from runners-up Sri Lanka and the two losing semi-finalists South Africa and West Indies for its World T20 team, with no Indian player being able to secure a place in the squad.

Pakistan's retiring T20 captain Younus Khan, all-rounder Shahid Afridi, wicketkeeper-batsman Kamran Akmal and pace spearhead Umar Gul have all made their way into the ICC's World T20 XI.

Tillakaratne Dilshan of Sri Lanka - the highest run scorer and Player of the Tournament at the T20 World Cup - is joined at the top of the order by West Indies captain Chris Gayle, with South Africans Jacques Kallis and AB de Villiers following them in the batting order.

West Indies all-rounder Dwayne Bravo, young South African left-arm pacer Wayne Parnell and Sri Lankan spinner Ajantha Mendis complete the line-up, with Sri Lanka's Lasith Malinga the 12th man.

In the women's team, five players from the victorious England team - captain Charlotte Edwards, player of the tournament Claire Taylor, wicketkeeper Sarah Taylor and spin duo Laura Marsh and Holly Colvin are included.
