Lucknow, Nov 07: The Qazi of Lucknow, Maulana Mufti Abdul Irfan Qadvi, on Friday issued a fatwa against Dr Zakir Naik, the person who runs Peace television. Naik is accused of supporting Osama on his television. Popular for his critical analysis of Islam and teachings of Quran, Naik is an orator in Peace TV, an Islamic television. The 37-year-old medical professional is an Islamic scholar

and is known to clear misconceptions about Islam through his lectures.

Naik is accused of supporting Osama during his lecture. However, Naik said that he wanted to convey that US possesses no right to call Osama a terrorist as the country supports terror.

Speaking exclusively to Zee News, Sunni religious head, Maulana Khaled Rashid defended Naik, saying the emerging Islamic orator has been targeted. He also dismissed the ground of issuing fatwa against Naik, underlining the latter did not support Osama.
