New Delhi, Jul 7: Under a pincer attack from her predecessor Lalu Prasad and the BJP, Railway Minister Mamata Banerjee today lost her cool and charged Mr Ananth Kumar of the saffron party with insulting West Bengal when he repeatedly charged her with being Bengal-centric and dubbed the Railway Budget her "political manifesto" for the 2011 Assembly elections in West Bengal.
Lok Sabha was plunged into an uproar during a high decibel slanging match between Mr Kumar and Ms Banerjee with the BJP member alleging that she has insulted other states like Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh and Karnataka by giving a lion share of railways' projects to West Bengal to advance her political agenda against the ruling Left Front there.
Midway through debate on the Railways' Budget initiated by the BJP member, Mr Lalu Prasad stunned the House by saying the world class and Adarsh(model) stations announced by him earlier and now by his successor Mamata Banerjee were "merely a concept .... yeh banane to hai nahin(these stations are merely a concept...these are notmeant to be built).
