'India ready for talks but Pak should act against 26/11 culprits'
New Delhi, Jul 1:India today said it was all ready to resume dialogue with Pakistan but the latter should come out with concrete measures to show that it was acting against the perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks.
''We are not afraid of talks but Pakistan should take concrete measures to convince us that it was serious in booking the culprits ,'' Minister for External Affairs S M Krishna said here.
''India was still waiting to see what steps Pakistan has taken,'' the Minister said, replying to a question at a news confernece held here to brief the media about the G-8 Outreach Ministerial Meeting on Afghanistan at Trieste in Italy.
He said India's stated position had been conveyed to Pakistan President Asif Zardari by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh during their recent meeting in the Russian city of Yekaterinburg at the summit of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization.
The Prime Minister was categorical in telling the Pakistan leader that his mandate was that perpetrators of the 26/11 attack should be dealt with severely, he said.
Mr Krishna said he conveyed the same to his Pakistani counterpart Shah Mehmood Qureshi.
He said now the political leadership of the two countries would again meet in Sharmel Sheikh in Egypt during the Non-aligned Movement Summit, and a meeting between the foreign secretaries of the two countries was also planned.
Mr Krsishan said he attended the G-8 Outreach Ministerial Meeting on Afghanistan at Trieste, in which major topics of focus included narcotics production, border control and security, refugee issue and the development of Afghanistan's economy and infrastructure.
The regional dimension of improved coordination and cooperation on border issues, trade and transit, etc were also discussed, he said.
