Moscow, May 29: All aspects of "global security" and "complexities" in the field of economy in the backdrop of the world financial meltdown will come up during the first "full-format" summit of BRIC nations, including India, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev said today.

"I expect that in the course of this event we would be able to discuss development of our nations, as well as talk about global security in its traditional meaning and ensuring economic, food and energy security," he told national security advisors of BRIC countries at a Kremlin meeting.

BRIC consists of world's fastest emerging economies -- Brazil, Russia, India and China.

BRIC's Yekaterinburg summit is scheduled to be held on June 16, which is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and Chinese President Hu Jintao along with the presidents of Russia and Brazil.

At their meeting, BRIC national security advisors, including India's NSA M K Narayanan are expected to finalise the security agenda of the summit.

"This will be the first full-format summit of BRIC nations, which today are the main centres of economic growth in the world. More than half of the world's population lives in BRIC countries," Medvedev underscored. PTI
