Tomatoes, 500 shawls exported to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) via Poonch

Jammu, Dec 31 : Amid heightened tension between India and Pakistan after Mumbai terrorist attacks, the trade across the Line of Control (LoC) continue as nearly 100 boxes of tomatoes and over 500 Kashmiri shawls were exported to Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK) via Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, official sources here today said.

'The goods were exported to the other side of the border on demand by the traders in Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir (PoK),'' official sources told UNI adding that nearly 100 boxes of tomatoes and 505 Kashmiri shawls were exported to PoK yesterday.

The items were exported by M/s Bansi Lal & Sons and Magray Cloth House, Poonch on an order placed by PoKs M/s Datta Agency, Bandi, Abbaspur, Hajeera, PoK.

However, on December 23, nearly 22 quintal tomatoes were exported to PoK and in return fruits and Peshawari chappals from Datta Agency were imported into Indian Territory. UNI
