162 crosses LoC via Chaka da Bagh in Poonch

Poonch Nov 10 (NAK): At least one hundred and sixty two persons crossed Line of Control via Chandan-da-Bagh in poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, here today.

Official sources said that at least 162 persons crossed over the LoC from the either side.

Sources told News Agency of Kashmir that at least 162 persons crossed over to Pakistan side from Poonch sector of Jammu and Kashmir. These included 38 persons, who were returning back home after visiting the state on a permit.

Among the PaK returnee the son of former PoK president Sakinder Hayat Khan also crossed over to other side after spending over a month in the state. Farooq Hayat Khan had crossed LoC in the month of October. 

Similarly, sources added, 56 persons crossed over to this side from Pakistan side. Those who crossed to this side include 40 visitors and 28 residents of the state, who had gone to meet their relatives on the other side of the border.

It was reliably learnt that the senior officers from district and civil administration were also present on the spot today. 

The LOC which was thrown open for cross-over at 11 am in the morning was closed at 5 pm in the evening. (NAK)
