Infiltration bids-Cease fire violations: Lt Gen Vinay Sharma to review Situation

Jammu, Sept 23 : Following the increase in cross border infiltration along Line of control (LoC) in Poonch sector Lt Gen Vinay Sharma, GOC Rising Star Corps who arrived for an official five days visit in Jammu is likely to have detailed discussions with Senior Commanders and review the measures taken to counter any nefarious designs of the infiltrators, at various Army installations.
"During the visit the General will visit various units and also interact with civil dignitaries" , PRO defence Lt Col SD Goswami told News Agency of Kashmir adding the GOC, Rising Star Corps visit is very significant especially with mounting reports of terrorist's concentration across the IB in launch pads waiting to cross over.
Owing to these reports, the GOC is likely to have detailed discussions with Senior Commanders and review the measures taken to counter any nefarious designs of the infiltrators, at various Army installations along Line of control in two border districts of Jammu.
The GOC, Rising Star Corps, interacted with some senior officers at Satwari and discuss certain other operational issues.
The General is also scheduled to visit the Military Hospital to review the specialised medical facilities available in the military station and explore possibilities of further improving the same
