Rates of essentials fixed in Anantnag

Anantnag, September 17- District Price Controller (Deputy Commissioner), Anantnag has at a meeting of officers and dealers held here today refixed the rates of essential commodities in Anantnag district with immediate effect. Accordingly, the rate for mutton without Ujree, mutton with Ujree, broiler, layer and Kashmiri cheese has been fixed at Rs. 140, Rs. 125, Rs. 60, Rs. 35 and Rs. 95 per kg respectively. The rate for raddish, carrot, tomato Kashmiri, tomato Punjabi, Palak, Frashbeen, Potato, Onion Kahmiri, Green Mirch, Pumpkin, Shimla mirch and Bandgobi has been fixed at the rate of Rs. 10, 12, 12, 15, 10, 20, 10, 8, 15, 5, 18, 8 respectively. The rates for Ambri apple, grapes red, grapes green, pear and pomegranate has been fixed at Rs. 30, 100, 60, 25, 50 per kg respectively. Similalry, the rates for banana big size and eggs has been approved at Rs. 30 and Rs. 25 per dozen.
District Price Controller issued instructions for implementation of the rates strictly. He asked the officers to take stern action against the profiteers and hoarders and others found violating Essential Commodities Act. The shopkeepers have been asked to display the rate lists prominently.
