Govt sets up panel to select VC of Sher-e-Kashmir University

Jammu September 16: Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a panel to select the new vice-chancellor of Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (SKAUST), official sources said.
"A five member panel headed by Mangla Rai, Director of Indian council of Agriculture Research (ICAR) has been set by the state Governor to select new vice-chancellor of SKUAST," they said.
The post was vacant after Naginder Sharma's term ended.
The charge of vice-chancellor has been given to S L Bhat, Financial Commissioner of Planning department for now.
