Militants kill abducted villager in South Kashmir

Srinagar, Sept 15: Unidentified militants abducted and killed a villager in Dadran Behak area of Damhal Hanji pora in Kulgam district.

 

Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that unidentified gunmen suspected to be the militants barged into the Dhok (temporary house) of Mohammad Ashraf Rather S/o Late Usman Rather R/o Cheki Ranbirpora D.H. Pora and abducted him on gun point last night.

 

The other members of the Dokh raised an alarm and inform police who launched search operation to trace out the villager in the forests of Dadran falling under the jurisdiction of Police Station Damhal Hanji Pora in Kulgam.

 

"We have recovered body of Mohammad Ashraf today and after completing all legal formalities handed over to the family members" a police officer told News Agency of Kashmir adding a case has been registered in this regard.

 

Security forces have launched a manhunt to nab the militants in the forests of Ranbir Pora and other adjoining areas
