Situation by and large peaceful
Srinagar, September 13 –A spokesman of Police department said here this afternoon that the situation across the Valley remained by and large peaceful. Traffic was plying normally on all routes. The shops and business establishments, educational institutions, government, semi government and private offices were functioning normally.
The spokesman said that some youth in Maisuma area took to streets and forced shopkeepers to down their shutters. They also resorted to stone pelting. The security forces used tear gas shells to disperse the stone pelting youth.
The spokesman added that curfew imposed yesterday in Baramulla and Shopian towns continues.
