Tourist dies after falling from hotel

Srinagar July 24: A woman tourist died after she fell from a hotel building on the banks of Dal Lake in Srinagar on Thursday, a police spokesman said.
Sona Bhai, a resident of Madhya Pradesh, fell down from the window of a Hotel at Gagribal on Thursday morning, the spokesman said.
He said Bhai was rushed to hospital where she was declared brought dead.
It was not immediately known how the tourist fell from the top floor of the three storied hotel.
A case has been registered to ascertain the cause of her death, the spokesman said.
In another accident, the spokesman said 11-year-old Khadim Bashir drowned in a river at Guzhama in Ganderbal district on Thursday morning.
The boy was taking bath in River Sindh when he drowned the spokesman said adding efforts are on to fish out his body.
