Reconstitution of Amarnath Shrine Board. Pandita

New Delhi , June 27: Civil Liberties Forum President Advocate BN Pandita has called for the reconstitution of Shri Amarnath Shrine Board (SASB) in which the people of Jammu & Kashmir are given the primary responsibility of conducting the affairs with respect to the Holy Amarnath Yatra.

BN Pandita has further requested that the issue with respect to Amarnath ytara should not be politicized or communalized and that it must be allowed to be a symbol of Kashmir communal amity where the Maliks of Batakote and the yatris from different parts of India would pray together in the holy cave and where people of Jammu and Kashmir would offer their all to the yatris and where people right from Lakhanpur-Jammu to the holy cave would get involved as the yatra is one of the primary yatras’ of the state and needs to be preserved as such where all the people of Jammu and Kashmir state contribute their bit towards the annual yatra.

The forum president has asked for restraint on all the fronts and has asked for status quo in the matter as was there till the controversial land transfer deal and has asked for resolving the matter with respect to constructions taking into view the opinion of ecologists and environmentalists and the views of intelligentsia of Jammu and Kashmir.
