Pre-Publicity Campaign by DFP for Bharat Nirman Public Information Campaign being held at Kargil

Kargil, May 26, 2008: Mobile Units of Directorate of Field Publicity (DFP) of Ministry of Information & Broadcasting located in Jammu & Kashmir organised various multi-colour informative, educative, awareness programmes in number of villages of border district – Kargil in Ladakh Division from May 21 as pre-publicity campaign for Bharat Nirman Publicity Campaign being held at the “Bhima Thang” Stadium from May 27, 2008. The informative and communicative awareness programmes included holding of films shows, song and drama programmes, seminars, symposia, rural women meets, special inter-active programmes, photo exhibitions, group discussions on major flagship themes like National Rural Health Mission, Sarva Shikhsha Abhiyan, Rural Development, Mid-day Meal Scheme, and importance of Girl Child Education, HIV / AIDS and NICH. The programmes on Bharat Nirman Public Information campaign were warmly coordinated by the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council, Kargil besides by the Medical Health Education Department, Social Welfare & ICDS projects, Education Department and local opinion leaders.
The multi-Colour awareness programmes were extensively organized in the blocks of Kargil, Suergole, Sankoo, Chekton, Drass and Padum were highly applauded and appreciated by the audiences, mostly comprising on tribals.
