3-day Workshop held at SKUAST-K
Srinagar, September 08 - Vice-Chancellor, Sher-i-Kashmir University of Agriculture, Science and Technology (SKUAST-K), Prof. Anwar Alam has emphasized upon the field functionaries/extension workers and the researchers to synchronize their efforts to have sustained food security and said that the green revolution in the country was possible only through the concerted efforts of the extension agencies in carrying out field worthy research to the farmers’ field. Prof. Alam was speaking at a function organized regarding 3-Day “Workshop on Operationalisation of ATMA and SREP under Extension Reforms” at SKUAST-K yesterday under the aegie of SAMETI, Directorate of Extension Education of SKUAST-K. Vice-Chancellor hoped that the 3 days Workshop will come up with concrete recommendations for strengthening the extension services in light of various challenges that are emerging.
The three day programme is being sponsored by MANAGE, Hyderabad. The inaugural function was attended by Director Research Dr. A.R. Trag, Director Resident Instructions/Dean PGS, Dr. Syed Sajjad Hussain, MANAGE Facilitators, Heads of the Divisions of the University Dr. Jagbir Singh and Anil Rathe and District Level officers of Agriculture, Horticulture, Animal and Sheep Husbandry Departments and Extension workers of the University.
