An outlay of Rs. 9063.64 lakhs proposed for Bla
Baramulla, September 08 – The outlay for current financial year for Baramulla district has been proposed for an amount of Rs. 9063.64 lakhs out of which revenue part would be Rs. 1764.38 lakhs and the capital would be Rs. 1299.26 lakhs.
This was by given out during a preparatory meeting convened with regard to allocation of funds and developmental works being taken up besides completion of ongoing works during current financial year was discussed threadbare.
The meeting reviewed the achievements registered during last financial year under various welfare schemes. The meeting was presided over by District Development Commissioner, Baramulla, Latief-u-Zaman Deva and attended by all the sectoral and district officers.
The meeting was informed that during last financial year out of an outlay of Rs. 6799.81 lakhs, the expenditure to the tune of Rs. 6439.98 lakhs was registered. About the achievements registered it was given out that 38.60 kilometers of road length was black topped, 9395 running meters of kacha road was constructed, 3409 running meters of RB Walls were constructed. Under NABARD 51 schemes were completed.
In Education sector, 2183 merit scholarships were provided and Mid Day Meals were provided to 129134 students, 32 SSA schools to primary schools and 117 primary schools were upgraded to middle schools and new 70 primary and 55 middle schools were constructed.
In Agriculture sector, 213000 metric tons of agri crop was produced including 25,000 metric tons of vegetables. Under Horticulture sector, 100 graped walnut trees were issued to introduce the new specie in the district. Under Irrigation sector, 2 major and 53 minor schemes were closed after completion.
