Soz's detractors meet in Delhi, demand his ouster
New Delhi, July 18 : Rumblings within Congress unit of Jammu and Kashmir further worsened today after eight MLAs and two Legislative Council members met here and demanded ouster of state unit chief Saifuddin Soz.
The MLAs and MLCs met under the leadership of Chowdhury Aslam and accused Soz of being hand-in-glove with PDP and was making attempts at destabilising the alliance in J&K.
Senior leaders of the party said that it was decided to request Congress President Sonia Gandhi to institute an inquiry into alleged embezzlement of election funds and said a Central team be sent to every district to probe allegations against the state party leadership.
Besides Aslam, Abdul Gabi Vakil, Viqar Rasool, Mohamamd Sharief Niaz and other leaders who attended the meeting resolved that "Soz has failed to keep the party untied.
