Kashmiris’ struggle is for right to self-determination: JKNF
Press Release/Srinagar, July 07: Jammu Kashmir National Front has said that Kashmiris have been struggling to secure their right of self-determination for the past 62 years & expressed serious concern over the continued detention of party Chairman Nayeem Ahmad Khan in an isolated dark cell in Kathua Jail and pointed out that such coercive and repressive measures could not break the courage and determination of Hurriyat leaders and activists to continue the liberation struggle.
Spokesman of JKNF in a statement in Srinagar maintained that the government of India had formulated a joint police-army action plan to curb the ongoing movement in Kashmir by invoking black laws.
He also expressed concern over the deteriorating health Nayeem Khan and said that Khan was being deprived of basic facilities in the jail while proper medical care was also not being given to him.
He strongly condemned the continued detention of party chairman & Provincial President of All Parties Hurriyat Conference Nayeem Ahmad Khan. He also took strong exception to the arrest of Syed Ali Shah Geelani, Shabir Ahmad Shah, Mohammad Ashraf Sehrai, Mushtaq-Ul-Islam, Mohammad Saleem Nana Ji, Asiya Andrabi, Bilal Sidique, Farooq Ahmad Dar, Masrat Alam & Muhammad Yousuf Mir.
