Girl drowns, another killed in Kashmir
Srinagar July 06: A 4-year-old girl drowned in the river Jehlum, while one person was killed and seven others were wounded in overnight road accidents in the Kashmir valley, official sources said here today.
They said Hafsa was playing on the bank of river Jehlum near Noor Khan in north Kashmir when she suddenly fell into the water.
Search to fish out the body was going on, they said.
They said a motorcyclist was injured critically when a vehicle hit him at Padshahi Bagh, Bijbehara in south Kashmir. He was rushed to Sher-e-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences (SKIMS) at Soura where he died.
They said five persons, who were travelling in the vehicle, were also injured and admitted to Sub District Hospital at Bijbehara.
In another incident two persons were wounded when their motorcycle was hit by a vehicle at Gulmarg Club, Baramulla in north Kashmir. The injured were hospitalised, the said. UNI
