He impressed upon them to realize the goal of prosperity, poverty- alleviation and eradication of unemployment through fair and prompt implementation of the schemes. He asked the bankers to inculcate a liberal attitude towards people seeking credit. He also asked them to take various measures for attracting people to make use of facilities as provided by the government in collaboration with banks.
Emphasizing on conduction workshops on a regular basis, the DDC said that these will go a long way in spreading awareness among people about the loans as made available by the banks in such workshops. “The thrust should be laid on identifying the problems of aspiring entrepreneurs and to address them”, he said and added that each department should appoint a nodal officer whose job would be to approach banks and facilitate the process of credit- lending.
