Army recovers explosive in J&K

Jammu June 24: Army claimed to have recovered three kilo-gram of explosive from Keranwali area of Raipur forests today.

Informed sources told News Agency of Kashmir that troops of 93 field regiment carried search operation in Raipur jungles and recovered 3 kilo grams of explosive buried in the land near a tree.

A hand out issued by the defence spokesman said that based on specific inputs received by Velluvom Regiment based at Raipur, a search operation of general area Keranwali Rakh forest was carried out in the wee hours on 24 Jun 2009.

“The search led to recovery of three kgs of explosive buried in the forest land” the handout added.(NAK)
