Sagar conducts surprise tour of Anantnag Suspends AEE, RDD

Srinagar, June 24: Minister for Rural Development and Panchayats Ali Mohammad Sagar today conducted a surprise visit of various offices of Anantnag district and ordered immediate suspension of Assistant Executive Engineer, Rural Development Department (RDD), on account of his unauthorized absence from duty.

The Minister, on the instructions of Chief Minister, ordered the District Development Commissioner and Additional DDC to settle all pending cases of SRO 43 without further delay. He also said that the cases should be settled on priority so that people should not suffer and complain about official apathy.

The Minister also asked the Assistant Commissioner, Development to immediately install computers in the Rural Information Centre (RIC) so that people do not face any inconvenience vis-à-vis remaining connected with the rest of the world through the medium of internet and other related facilities.

Sagar also met with various deputations of people and assured them that their genuine needs would be redressed within shortest possible time, adding government is committed to work for alleviation of poverty, improving living standard of the people and building quality infrastructure.(NAK)
