2 Militants gunned down in Reasi

Jammu June 23: Security forces claimed to have gunned down tow militants in general area of village Paccessar Gaber in Reasi district last night.

On specific information about presence of militants troops of 59 RR and local police launched a joint operation.

The troops soon zeroed in the area militants hiding in nearby hillock fire on them triggering gunfight between the troops and militants.

During encounter two militants were killed and were later identified as Mohd Ayub alias Abu Harara son of Abdul Rehman of Shadola and Mohd Qasim alias Matin S/o Kala Gujjar resident of Kandora.

Some arms and ammunition was recovered from the encounter site while further the details were awaited till filing of the report. (NAK)
