DDG visits Doda, Kishtwar districts
JAMMU, June 23: DDG NCC J&K, Brigadier Anil Gupta visited Doda and Kisthwar Districts, to take stock of NCC activities in these remote districts. DDG was briefed by Col B S Adhikari, Officer Commanding, 2 J&K Independent Coy, Bhaderwah. He interacted with Associate NCC Officers ( ANOs), Principals and cadets. He was apprised of the problems being faced in conduct of NCC activities in the remote areas of the twin districts. DDG stated that with the help of Rashtriya Rifles units deployed in the area, NCC activities must continue. He also thanked and appreciated the support being provided by the Rashtriaya Rifles.
A few ANOs and principals raised the issue of posting of ANOs to other Schools thus affecting the NCC activities in the Schools/Colleges. The DDG informed them that matter has been take up with Hon’ble Education Minister.
DDG lauded the efforts of Col Adhakari and his team in ensuring a high standard of NCC training the various Schools and Colleges of the Districts.
Brig Gupta also called on G R Bhagat, DC Kistwar and exchanged views on expanding NCC activities to the remote areas of the District. He thanked the District Administration for extending full co-operation.
