NC sweeps LAHDC, Kargil bye polls

Kargil, June 22: National Conference today bagged both the seats of LAHDC, Kargil for which elections were held few days back. From Parkachik constituency Syed Baqir Razvi of National Conference defeated Independent candidate Syed Hassan by a margin of 609 votes. Syed Baqir Razvi secured 1451 votes while Syed Hassan got 842 votes and 35 votes were declared rejected out of 2328 total polled votes.

Similarly, in Silmo constituency Mr. Mohammad Mussa of National Conference defeated Independent candidate Mr. Ghulam Hussain by a margin of 1305 votes. Mr. Mohammad Mussa secured 1962 votes while Mr. Ghulam Hussain got 657 votes. 24 votes were declared rejected in the constituency, out of 2643 total polled votes.
