PDP-BJP nexus dangerous for the state: NC
Press Release/Kishtwar April 20: Taking PDP and BJP to task for dividing the society in the name of religion and region, the senior National Conference leader Ajay Sadhotra and Political Advisor to Chief Minister Devender Singh Rana ridiculed the unholy nexus of the duo describing it detrimental to the state’s integrity, development and secular tradition. “One party is indulged in emotional blackmail and the other fanning regional bias”, they cautioned the people not to fall prey in the net cast by these parties for vote bank politics.
Sadhotra and Rana who were speaking to a public meeting at Kishtwar today said that while BJP has its long tradition of befooling Jammuites in the name of region, PDP invents false stories and deceits people by double speak. They said PDP has a history of subverting democracy and BJP fans communal tension. “Both compliment each other in divisive politics to play to the gallery for political gains”.
Sadhotra and Rana said that National Conference - Congress coalition has frustrated both BJP and PDP as these parties have no progressive agenda for the state are raising hollow slogans to attract people’s attention. They said the masses in Jammu and Kashmir are wise enough to understand the game plan of dividing them in the name of region and caste.
The NC leaders said the National Conference & Congress coalition is based on principles and are committed to equitable development all regions and areas without any consideration. They said both the parties believe in secular democratic setup and unity of Jammu and Kashmir. “We will work together to strengthen the secular and democratic forces and steer the state towards peace and prosperity”.
Describing PDP as brain child of BJP to extend their arms in the divisions of Jammu and Kashmir, the National Conference leaders said that the nexus of BJP and PDP came to fore during the recently held elections of MLCs.
Asking the people for whole hearted support to Ch. Lal Singh coalition candidate from Doda-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency, Sadhotra and Rana said that in the success of Ch. Lal Singh lies in the success of the people of the constituency and the state. They said the success of coalition candidate is the key to the development of backward and far flung areas.
The NC leaders said that the coalition government in the state led by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah is committed to all round and equitable development of Jammu and Kashmir. They said while National Conference has the agenda to seek permanent peace in the state for prosperity it will work with Congress to accomplish the stupendous task and bring about revolution in the good governance in Jammu and Kashmir.
Sadhotra and Rana appealed the people to come out in larger number and caste their votes for the coalition candidates.
Addressing the meeting, Sajjad Ahmed Kitchloo MLA Kishtwar asked the people to beware of the false propaganda of the PDP and BJP who are hell bent upon to disturb the peaceful atmosphere of the state.
NC District President Kishtwar Tanveer Ahmed Kitchloo and former MLC Brij Mohan Sharma while addressing the meeting called upon the people to strengthen the NC-Congress coalition government led by Omar Abdullah in its endeavor to being in an era of all round development in the state.
They also appealed the people to vote in favour of coalition candidate and strengthen the secular fabric of the state. (NAK)
