Arms, ammunition recovered in Baramulla

Srinagar March 22: Police and Army claimed to have busted a militant hideouts and recovered arms and ammunition from several villages of Pattan area of Baramulla district in north Kashmir.

Police spokesman said that on specific information police and troops of 29 RR carried out joint search operation in several villages including Indergam and Chanderhama and busted militant hideouts and recovered arms and ammunition from a local orchard.

During search operation one Rocket launcher,1 pistol, 2 pistol magazines, 8 pistol Rounds,1 Radio set (damaged),3AK Magazines, 183 AK Rounds, Belted ammunition with 50 rounds, 2 Pressure cooker IED’s, 6 Grenades HG, Pamphlets of H.M outfit-17 Nos were recovered from the Orchard of Abdul Gaffar Bhat son of Haji Amir Bhat resident of Indergam Pattan.

Accused villager has been arrested and Case FIR NO. 44 of 2009 under section 7/25 I. Arms Act has been registered at police station Pattan.(NAK)
