500 housing units coming up in north Kashmir under IAY

Srinagar, Mar 03, 2009: Under the Indira Awas Yojna (IAY) 500 housing units are being established in the north Kashmir district of Bandipora, official sources said today.

They said housing units would be established to provide residential facilities to the people living below poverty line in the district.

They said it was decided that three ambulances would be provided to the district hospital Bandipora and 25 new transformers would be Installed in the district.

An amount of Rs 17 crore against plan outlay of Rs 42 crore have been spent on various developmental works upto end of December, 2008 in the district. (UNI)
