J&K Minister exchanges blows with Govt employee
Anantnag, Jan 24 (NAK): Minister for school education Peer Zada Muhammad Sayed allegedly entered into a scuffle with a chief Project officer of fisheries Mohd Amin Mir department and the duo exchanged blows at Kokernag Garden in Jammu and Kashmir’s Anantnag district, where the former had gone to enjoy week end with his family.
The scuffle broke out after the minister allegedly asked the official to open departmental Hut for his family, which was reportedly refused by the later as some repair work was undergoing in the Hut.
Reports reaching here reveal that the former PCC chief and Education minister Peer Zada Muhammad Sayed arrived at Kokernag garden which is situated in his home constituency.
Soon after his arrival, the minister summoned chief project officer fisheries and asks him to open the hut, eye witnesses told news agency of Kashmir adding, “The official was slapped by the minister when he informed him that it was undergoing repair work and was not fit for accommodation”.
The project officer pushed the minister in order to defend himself which led to the brief scuffle. Eye witnesses further claimed that wife of the minister intervened and ask the minister to leave so as to avid further alteration.
However, police was tight lipped over the incident and no case was registered till late evening. “We have not received any complaint from the either side”, police said.
When tried to contact neither the minister nor the official was available for comments. (NAK)
