Srinagar, Jan 20: Refuting the media report about truce offer in J&K, Lashkar-Toiba today claimed that it has never offered to give up its 'armed struggle in the state of Jammu and Kashmir.

A caller identifying himself as Dr Abdullah Gaznavi chief spokesman of LeT told News Agency of Kashmir that the out fit will continue its armed struggle in Jammu and Kashmir and there was no question of resorting to other means.

Referring to the statement in a section of media attributed to him, the caller said he has never made such any statement to any media organization but his name has been used only to defame the out fit.

Lashkar-e-Toiba had on Saturday said that it doesn't see armed struggle as the only way to achieve its goal of freedom for Kashmiris, and if freedom can be achieved peacefully it would welcome it.

"If the world listens to our cries and plays its role in resolving Kashmir issue there is no point in continuing fighting," the spokesman of Lashkar-e-Toiba, Dr Gaznavi was quoted by section of media. (NAK)
