Udayaditya succeeded his brother in 720 A.D. The people at large during his rule of four year i.e 720-724 A.D. could not escape the wrath of the king and were subjected to severe hardships and miseries.His death, as reported by Kalhan, occurred due to majic used by Brahmans, whom he had oppressed.
