The population distribution by sex is an important demographic characteristic which helps in the study of birth, death man-power and the like. It is an agreed fact that the male and female birth rate is not equal. In 1901 the sex-ratio, females per 1000 males was 880 which ranks first till 1981. but followed by 1981, 1911 and 1961 in rank. The low sex ratio was in the year1941 which is reflected to the less number of females, as females donot survive long due to child marriage, death during expectancy, and in care of female due to ignorance and illiteracy in the region. The sex composition of population is expressed by the number of females per 1000 males. Table below depicts the male, female and sex-ratio per 1000 from 1901 to 1991.
